Lovely Bridesmaids

This weekend I got cozy with a line of bridesmaid dresses I found absolutely divine. I was unfamiliar with Coren Moore at the time, but I quickly became one of her biggest fans. The fabrics are luxurious; the colors are stunning. And the fit? Fabulous. The designs flatter every body shape. To top it off, the dresses are so lightweight, it's as if you are wearing nothing at all. Check out her dresses and locations here.

Fresh Favors

Get inspired with these fresh, fun favors to spoil your guests. Flowers are always a fabulous choice; they bring happiness and symbolize life. Put them in vases that match your decor for your guests to use again. For a summer wedding, give your guests a little slice of the season. Lemonade packets and wisks let them refresh and celebrate summer.

Minature candy jars are modern and oh-so-cute. Line them up on a table filled with different colored candies to make a decorative, colorful display. For a fall wedding, scented leaf shaped soaps are a classy, decadent treat.

A Royal Affair

This week, I chose purple and gold as the feature color scheme. This vivid color combination makes for an evening event that feels nothing short of regal. Purple is the color of royalty, and gold accents add to the grandiosity of the event.

Sweet Additions

Guests love an after dinner treat that comes in the form of coffee or hot chocolate. Spice up the typical after-dinner drink by adding a little something unexpected. Here, white chocolate dipped cherries and large marshmallows are tasty, fun ways to spoil your guests. Other fun ideas are bite-site coffee cakes and biscotti for coffee, or mints for hot chocolate. You can also find flavored marshmallows, like caramel and coconut, at Plush Puffs. Mmmm!

Taupe and Chocolate

The color scheme for this week came from a set of invitations (below) that caught my eye. These warm, neutral colors create simple elegance and a dramatic effect without being bold. With a color scheme consisting of browns, it is easy to incorporate tasty dessert and drink options that double as decor.

French Country

I happened upon decor today that made me swoon. This French inspired decor is romantic, and simply breathtaking. Pair it with white linen draping for a stunning effect. Talk about an elegant affair! The decor below is currently available at Michaels.

Charger Love

Dress up your reception dinner tables by adding a charger to each place setting. Chargers create a sharp touch to dinner tables, giving the impression that no detail has gone unnoticed and no expense has been spared. They dress up the décor and add the finishing touch at any reception, but particularly at plated dinner receptions when place settings are bare until dinner is served.

Royal Blue, Mustard Yellow, and Pewter

This week, I wanted to showcase a bright, bold color scheme that characterizes "contemporary." These fresh colors electrify guests with eye-catching accents. The lively colors are perfect for an outgoing and spirited couple. To top it off, these bright colors make for stunning photos.

Fun Finds

This week I received a couple of fun catalogs in the mail, and a few of the items in the catalogs stood out to me as perfect wedding additions. These two dresses are currently available at White House Black Market, and would make adorable bridesmaid dresses.

On the cover of the Pier 1 catalog, I found these great glass apothecary jars that would be perfect for a candy buffet. They would also be stunning as centepieces filled with water and floating flowers.
